Book Reviews of Cross CurrentsBook Review: A very important book Summary: 5 Stars
This book is one of the most important books I have read, I agree the cover makes it look a little sensationalist but the book isn't it's very much based on facts, scientific proof, and the many studies that have been conducted. I thought this book would be dated since it was written in 1990 and on a few parts it is but I've read almost every book on EMF's and this book is actually the basis on which most the other books get most of their facts, this book is the best book and most comprehensive on understanding EMFs out there IMO. Only downside is the book can get a little technical on some parts but for the most part a regular person will understand it. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and especially doctors (this is the key to the so many "whys" and "hows" in medicine we are unable to solve) , IMO this book should be taught in medical school.
Book Review: Making the Connection Summary: 5 Stars
This is an illuminating book!If you would like to know the scientific basis for the connection between acupuncture, the ability of salamanders to regenerate limbs, the occurance of remissions in cancer patients, the ability of qigong masters to heal, the extinction of species, the correlation of childhood leukemia with powerline proximity, then get this facinating and well written book by an M.D. who did his own pioneering research that led to a new paradigm for the role of electicity and magnetism in biology. Also, learn what you can do to protect yourself from the everday perils of electropollution.
Book Review: Thought provoking Summary: 5 Stars
This book, by a prominent medical researcher and practitioner, is one of the most well written and interesting of it's type. In fact, I was unable to put it down once I started reading. Initially interested in possible hazards of electropollution, and also medical uses of electric current, I learned quite a bit from Dr. Becker's book; and I found myself asking more questions, and looking for other sources. Written for the layman, this book is authoritatively referenced with all the professionalism you would expect from a man of the author's caliber. Highly recommended!
Book Review: Stealth Pollution at your service! Summary: 5 Stars
Are you getting a charge out of life? May be more than you ever imagined. Electromagnetic forces such as those in which we are all immersed every day just by living in our high tech, industrial culture are something new on the planet. Can we expect some impact on our paleolithic style bodies? It seems very likely and Robert Becker is a pioneer in this new and dangerous frontier of health. If you are concerned about health, it makes for some compelling reading. Just don't expect any endorsements from the electric company.
Book Review: Misleading title and cover - amazing book Summary: 5 Stars
Others have summarised this astonishing book. It is most unfortunate that the title and cover imply a sensationalist book. It is sensational - but in the sense of new knowledge unknown to most of the Medical fraternity and I write as aa senior MD! This is the most important medical book I have read and I nearly ignored it because of its lurid presentation.
