Book Reviews of Cure the Incurable

Book Review: Get informed
Summary: 5 Stars

The book is well written, and its orderly presentation is commendable. [...]

I think the main value of this book is that it will help people to wake up and take charge of their health. Research the things the author mentions -- eliminate sugar and fast food from your diet, the microwaved and/or fried dinners, hormone milk, etc, add breathing exercises and daily walking for a few miles... Simply take care of your health. And that's all BEFORE you start preparing your healing remedies, or reaching for prescription drugs. You have more control over your health than you realize. Also compare the cost of changing some of your habits to how expensive a trip to the hospital is, or a visit to the doctor or lost wages resulting from your being sick and not being able to work.

Medical doctors are only humans and they are only one source of information. Our lives and the live of our loved ones deserve more than just one source and one option. Especially when we are facing the so called "incurable diseases". This book is a reasonable start, especially if you have no clue about the chemicals you're prescribed by your doctor. And especially if your illness fall in to the category of "incurables". This book opened my eyes to what's going on and some tips on what I can do about it.

Most people would rather only have a pill to tame their diabetes or high blood pressure or high cholesterol than have to do a colon cleanse or full body cleanse. I admit that many of the procedures offered in this book can be often inconvenient, but my body and my life are worth some extra effort. Again, compare the cost of prescribed medication and medical bills to taking simple actions to improve your health -- it is a no-brainer.

Get informed! Get educated rather than medicated! In any case, read the book and then make your own decision. Don't let others decide about your health and how you are going to take care of it. But you cannot make an informed decision without getting to the source of information. So, read it first, then decide what to do in your case.

Merry Christmas!

Book Review: Holistic Healing At It's Best
Summary: 5 Stars

If you too are tired of paying so much for medications and is realizing that the pharmaceutical industry and the medical industry are selling you pills and syrups to get you hooked on coming back for more instead of really trying to heal you--then this is a terrific book to use to heal yourself instead.

It gives you certain exercises to perform in order to help heal certain ailments. Forget Propecia for balding, why not try rubbing grated red beets or boiled nettle leaves on your scalp?

To treat urination problems you can use honey and black radish (recipes inside the book)

I holistically heal myself (always drinking herbal teas, exercising, etc) We cured my dog of cancer using magnets, castor oil packs, herbs, aromatherapy, exercise, apple cider vinegar, etc. We have our 15 year old labrador sprinting again using apple cider vinegar and other nutrutional supplements (garlic etc which we eat too)

We also use the books Folk Medicine: A New England Almanac of Natural Health Care From A Noted Vermont Country Doctor, The Magnetic Effect, Acupressure's Potent Points: a Guide to Self-Care for Common Ailments and The Edgar Cayce Remedies for reference.

Book Review: Great remedies
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best books I have ever read. I had high cholesterol and one of my fingers had a problem at the joint. I went to see my doctor and he prescribed statin drug for my cholesterol and glucosamine for my finger. The statin drug helped a little bit but the glucosamine did no help. I began searching the internet for a natural cure for my problems and I came to read the review of this book. The negative review has no foundation to show why they did not like it, but the positive reviews revealed the book in much more detail. I decided to buy the book from Amazon. I agree almost with everything the author writes in this book. I apply some remedies described in the book for my problem such as garlic extract for my cholesterol and a lemon a day for my finger. My finger healed after one week, and my cholesterol went down almost 60 points in 3 months. Now I am off statin and very happy that I have purchased this book.

Book Review: the constant advice that enemas are the cure to all cures irritated me to no end.
Summary: 1 Stars

When a book purports to provide "... causes of civilization diseases ...", as an avid health practitioner, that's what expect to find within its pages. Instead all I uncovered here was a lame health guide with a mishmash of laughable cures, which was riddled with typos and grammar errors. Additionally, the constant advice that enemas are the cure to all cures irritated me to no end.

On the bright side, however, the constant use of enemas and lemons did supply a couple of (probably unintentional) lighter moments. I bought Cure the Incurable following multiple glowing recommendations. It definitely does NOT deliver what it says on the tin, and I wish I hadn't!

Book Review: Avoid at all cost
Summary: 1 Stars

I'll grant that this book has some interesting information in it but it does not have any footnotes to aid one in finding out where the information was gleaned from. Also things like the simplification of one's character deduced by eye color is simply idiotic (pg. 146). This book does NOTHING to aid someone who is already experiencing chronic health problems. If you are looking for help for such conditions, look elsewhere.

I bought this book and was really disappointed in it. You are better off with Dr. Hyman's books. You can also get better information for the cost of an internet hookup. Not worth it overall.
