Book Review: Great for Galactosemia (Duarte Variant)

This a fabulous cookbook for our family. My children have galactosemia and they cannot consume milk products of any kind. I highly recommend this cookbook to families needing to avoid dairy at all costs. I have made several different cupcakes, salads and main dishes for birthday parties and guests and everyone just raves about the recipes.
I refer them to this book. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have a huge library of cookbooks and often I just adapt regular recipes but I love this book because it is precisely what we need for our diet.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough whether you are simply lactose intolerant, have multiple allergies, or as in our case you have an inborn error of metabolism like galactosemia where the stakes can be high if galactose is consumed. I must say galactose does exist in other forms as in some vegetables and in organ meats so be sure to check all ingredients thoroughly before consuming and always follow the advice of your physician.
