Book Reviews of Dangerous Games (Tempting SEALs)Book Review: A book to devour! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first Lora Leigh book and I cannot believe I read this book in one day. Once you start, it will be hard to put down. It's a highly sensual, electrifying and sexy read. Having said that, I have to agree with a reviewer about not liking the Bondage, dom and sub angle. It was a bit too graphic for my taste and wished that the hero wasn't portrayed as being a part of it. I still couldn't let myself take away even one star for it since the author's characterizaion was superb and she keeps you glued to the story like no other. So five stars for Lora Leigh and hope to read more about these brave and protective seals!
Book Review: A heroine that's a DEA agent but afraid of her brother?? Summary: 2 Stars
The heroine drove me nuts - she's a DEA agent, so you'd expect her to have some backbone and be able to command some respect but she's afraid to tell her Brother what she does?? Oh please! Grow up little girl.
And just how does a navy SEAL afford one of those uber expensive private rooms?
Anyway, although I read this quite a while ago I do remember my annoyance with the heroine coloured the entire story and I didn't really enjoy it. I remember there just seemed to be so many things that didn't really add up and as for the characters, I really couldn't have cared what happened to them.
Book Review: You've got to be kidding me. Summary: 2 Stars
I have no idea how this book is getting 5 star reviews from some readers. I'm assuming they are only basing it on the sex scenes and nothing else. The main charachers are complely unlikeable. She's 26 and acts like she's 12 and he's a 35 year old that acts like he's 16. You do not get invested in the story or in the characters. I was a little turned off by the anal sex scenes, not my cup of tea. It was all just over the top. The whole BDSM scene was actually understated which surprised me. In addition, you add the editing errors and the uneven plot flow just makes this a poor reading material.
Book Review: Loved It Summary: 5 Stars
So far I've read all but Hidden Agendas in Lora Leigh's Tempting Seals series. So far this is my favorite (but all are wonderful). I enjoyed Clint's story and wished the book was much longer. =)
Lora Leigh puts together some hot steamy scenes. No matter what she writes it's a good read.
Clint will remain one of my favorite heros in a romance book.
The hero and heroine in this book had me needing to read more. A page turner from the get go.
If you love to read hot romance this book will give you that.
Book Review: Really it's All Personal Preference... Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellently written and plotted novel with intense emotional connections between people who know each other well and mean their feelings. The sensuality is quite dark and involved; primarily within a world of BDSM and its' clubs and participants. So--if that is your "taste" in erotic fiction--this is one of the best, most enjoyable of the current group of novels with this subject matter. However, it's like any subject--time travel, vampires, BDSM, cowboys etc.--there can be too much information and too many books on that topic. Overall, worth the $$$, time and read.
