Book Reviews of Dangerous Games (Tempting SEALs)

Book Review: Clint was hot! But Morgana got on my nerves
Summary: 3 Stars

Let me just say that I kind of liked the book just a few things that aggravated me. First off I'm noticing a theme in all of Laura's book that bothers me. (Abuse of some kind) Either the Hero or heroin of the story has been abused in some way. I get that everyone needs to have a background story but I think that she needs to switch things up a bit.

Also I was hoping for a real Dom/sub relationship. I thought Clint was Hot and wow but Morgana was annoying. I didn't hate the book I thought it could have been better.

Book Review: Dangerous Games
Summary: 1 Stars

This is the first book by Lora Leigh that I read. I purchased it on the suggestion on one of the discussion groups.

I thought the theme was very dark and I didn't feel comfortable with it at all. I also thought the plot was unrealistic in that a Navy Seal is doing undercover work for the DEA. Maybe that happens in real life, but I thought it was a reach. The characters were not very likable--but then I thought it was dark. "To each his own."

Book Review: Same old storyline
Summary: 2 Stars

I have read a lot of Lora Leigh's book, and it is getting boring. It is the same old storyline. Alpha male leaves b/c he wants to protect the girl he loves. Alpha male returns, and fights his attraction to the girl he loves. I need a little more creativity and imagination in my books. It is like she uses the same outline for everybook, just to get a book released. Get it at the library - don't bother paying for it with your hard earn money.

Book Review: dangerous games
Summary: 5 Stars

I enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and characters were strong. Who cares for military definitions (one review claims there are mistakes in the book)? I am not a soldier and as far as I am concerned, I don't care if Lora Leigh writes that Seals come from Army (and not Navy). In my opinion, such little inconsistencies shouldn't matter. The story is what counts and for that I give it 5 stars.

Book Review: stick to her Breed series
Summary: 3 Stars

I enjoyed her paranomal series (Feline, Wolf Breeds etc.) a lot more. The action thriller backdrop feels very forced and I think it would have been less irritating for the reader if it had concentrated more on the "interesting fringe clubs" the author notes in the beginning of the book. The erotic sections do make this a spicy read, but don't expect much more then that.
