Book Review: Save your money, borrow the book if you can.

I read Dead and Loving It and couldn't find anything to love about it. The book seemed to be quickly stitched together like a popular sewing pattern. The stories were predictable, shallow and the characters left a lot to be desired. The typical boy wants girl, boy gets girl seems to be the recurring them with a foul mouthed she-wolf and rape thrown in for good measure. The stories literally read the same way. She uses the same lines from story to story and doesn't even follow the vampire rules she created in her Undead series when writing Monster. (But that's another bone to pick altogeter.)
In Davidson's acknowledgement she thanks her husband for tending the kids while she's holed-up writing. Don't know how much time this book could have taken. The quality of the stories show that they were probably churned out quicker than butter with none of the satisfaction for the end result.
Let this serve as an example to all aspiring writers. If this mess can be published, then there's hope for your novel, no matter how many rejection letters you've received.
