Book Review: Typical but good Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, easy read. It kind of had a boring start but definitely picked up a bit later. I loved John and Savannah as a couple but I knew once he went back to Germany, it would be a struggle for them to stay together. I will say I never truly got a grasp of the love between John and Savannah in the end. It was so wishy washy. I understand their logic but it still didn't fit right. The ending was typical but I still found it to be an average/above average book.
Book Review: Satisfying read Summary: 4 Stars
I have read numerous Nicholas Sparks books, but had avoided this one because of the title. The premise of a "Dear John" letter seemed so depressing. But, recently I needed something to read one afternoon, and came upon the book once again. I finished the book in several hours, and enjoyed it very much. The plot was timely for our times and revealed the very best in the book's characters.
Book Review: Couldn't put the book down Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a must have, must read, hard to put down book because you want to know what happens next. Come on now Nicholas Sparks is the MAN what an amazing author I can't imagine giving his books anything less than 5 stars. Dear John, The Notebook, The Wedding, The Choice, True Believer... I recommend any book by Nicholas Sparks.
Book Review: This book left me way too sad! Summary: 2 Stars
I have enjoyed so many of this author's books. When I finished this one, I was bummed out for two days. I understand the importance of honor and choices, but the ending could have embraced both and still not have been so unfulfilling. It's a long book, I invested many hours reading it. I did not like the unhappy ending.
