From Desolation Peak to the down trodden journey on a beat-up boxcar this book was fantastic. As far as one of his better books, it's not, but hey all of them are fantastic. It really gives you a great feel for what the travler-beat was all about.Book Review: Mature and well written

This is Jack doing what Jack does well. I did not get the same amount of excitement from it as I did from On The Road. It was a satisfying read, but he did better.
