Book Reviews of Dilbert 2.0: 20 Years of DilbertBook Review: Excellent Material! Summary: 5 Stars
It's hard to believe that 20 years of Dilbert have gone by already. The good news is that little has changed, and the old strips are good as new. I bought a copy for our son, but cheated and read it before giving it to him. Double my money's worth!
The "bad news" is that Dilbert was recently laid off; fortunately, he was then rehired, but at a much lower pay rate. I'm looking forward to Scott Adams solving our economic problems!
Book Review: Everything I had expected, and more! Summary: 5 Stars
As a huge Dilbert fan, I got Dilbert 2.0 for Christmas after persistent hinting. The book quality is great. As noted by others, it is quite large and heavy, but I have no problem reading it in bed. Scott's comments are at times informative and at others hillarious. Any true Dilbert fan will absolutely adore this book. I haven't even put the CD in my computer yet, but am looking forward to even more cubicle fun!
Book Review: I'm a Dilbert Fan Summary: 5 Stars
I have enjoyed Dilbert comics almost since they started 20 years ago. This brings back not only the comics, but the ups and downs in the economics and work places of the times. I also enjoy the other Dilbert books that have been published. Didn't enjoy the Dilbert TV shows, they were too graphic... should have been left to one's imagination. I was one of those that posted the comics on the bulletin boards...
Book Review: Unusual Delivery of Quality Humor Summary: 4 Stars
For Scott Adams fans, this must be a much anticipated publication. That said, for people who generally appreciate his work, it's a strange delivery format. The tome is oversized and HEAVY. It's a coffee table book, so if you want to actually read it, be ready for a clumsy experience.
I purchased this book as a gift, and the recipient appreciated it. It is well put together, but somewhat impractical.
Book Review: Semi-Autobiography Summary: 5 Stars
This is almost an autobiography. The first couple pages are great. The text interspersed throughout the book are really interesting. Want to know how your favorite character(s) developed? Read all the text.
Yes, it doesn't include all of comics, but then there's the disc inside for that.
Yes, it's heavy. Heaviest book I've held in several years. But worth the effort.
