If you're expecting to read the "typical" Foxworthy book you're going to be disappointed with "Dirt on my Shirt." Instead, you'll discover that his genius is considerably greater and more extensive than you might have thought, based solely upon his "Redneck" books. I recently bought this book for my four-year-old granddaughter and it quickly has become one of her favorites! Buy this book for your children or grandchildren--you won't be disappointed! This book is fantastic.You will laugh.It is great. I bought one at my childs book fair to give as a birthday present.Best gift I have bought for an 8 year old he loved it. His mother says he has read it 17 times to count now.He is more motivated to read now.So I have bought one to give my son for christmas who loves to read on a regular basis.This book is an inspireing find,for one child out there that I know of.Thanks Jeff Foxworthy for Dirt on my shirt.Book Review: Too Cute

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson. I read it before I gave it to my grandson, naturally. I loved it. The verses so much like a little boy. Mr Foxworthy definitely remembers what it is like to be a child, a real boy and put it in short appropriate verse and subject matter. The topics were those of a boy. I was charmed with the title and then with the poems. Reminds me of my grandson and how much of a true "boy" he really is.Book Review: Smile on my face . . .

When I watched Harry Smith (CBS Early Show) and Jeff Foxworthy reading excerpts from Foxworthy's Dirt On My Shirt, I knew I had to purchase it for my 6 year-old great-granddaughter. It has arrived. I've read it and can't wait for her next visit so we can read it together. I covet every moment I have with her, and I think reading Foxworthy's clever rhymes with her "gram-gram" will be a memory she'll forever cherish.Book Review: Dirt on My Shirt

This book was delightful and surprised us. We found the poetry wonderful and our 3 year old grandson liked it very much. The pictures were very fun and well matched to the poems.
We all really liked the poem about escaping balloons. We saw some balloons floating away later and showed them to our grandson. We commented about them going up to the angel children.
Fun and creative poems.
