Book Reviews of Divine Justice (Camel Club)Book Review: Disappointing read Summary: 1 Stars
I have read a number of David Baldacci novels and appreciate his quality as an author.
But having read Divine Justice, I have to try hard to believe it was not ghost-written. The style is awkward, the action is contrived, the characters are bland. In short, it is no match for the other Baldacci novels and is not really a good read apart from killing a few hours of mindless reading.
I look forward to the real Baldacci returning with a real novel.
Book Review: Give Me a Break--A Real Stretch Summary: 3 Stars
I'd read "Stone Cold" for an airport trash novel on a long coast-to-coast business flight, and enjoyed it. So I thought I'd order "Divine Justice" from Amazon since it was the follow-on novel to Stone Cold.
What a bust. Trite, predictable, and really unbelievable. I simply couldn't suspend my disbelief to get into the far-fetched story. Thankfully, this will be the end of the Camel Club--I hope. It has run its course.
Save your money.
Book Review: Great Writer...Always Keeping You Thinking Summary: 4 Stars
I really enjoy David Baldacci. His writing is excellent. He makes his chapters move so you want to read the next. He has never failed to keep me on the edge of my reading chair.
Divine Justice could be real...it makes you think. I enjoy david's characters and his settings...not to mention the drama he puts into his Camel Club plots.
This is a great book! I know you will enjoy it.
Book Review: Mediocrity Summary: 3 Stars
Though I enjoyed reading this book, I found that I had to suspend disbelief a few too many times in the process. I find it hard to believe that Stone would change the course of his escape and go to Divine after getting in a fight on the train. In this day and time, it was also hard to believe that so many doors were opened by the use of fake government IDs. This probably is a good time for the Camel Club to retire.
Book Review: wonderful book! Summary: 5 Stars
I am now a serious follower of the Camel Club Series written by David Baldacci. I all started with me some getting the first one in the series and then acquiring the other books to read the story of their lives. He writes very well, I read a ton of books, and this series has my interest. It is entertaining, I love reading to find out "who done it" and how the Camel club will resolve their latest crisis.
