Book Reviews of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff--and it's all small stuff (Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Series)Book Review: Helpful Perspective for Everyone Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great little book. 100 small chapters that is an easy read. Better if read a little at a time (like over a few months). It can give you that thoughtful perspective on the little things in life... and help keep them little. I liked it so much I bought it for friends and the people I supervise at work. It's not the end-all, be-all of self-help books, but if you have an open mind, the lessons can improve your life.

Book Review: Turn Your Melodrama into a Mellow Drama Summary: 5 StarsHave you ever laid awake at night worrying. Well, if you read this book and take it to heart, you won't be doing that anymore. Chances are if you look back at all the stuff that's worried you in the past, it was small stuff. Really, like Dr. Carlson says, it's all small stuff, well mostly all.
What do you worry about. Dying? It's gonna happen. Dying naked, you're probably gonna be naked soon after you're dead anyway. Anyway, back to the book, there's lots of solid advice here, like the bit about cutting yourself some slack or the chapter that tells you to spend sometime thinking about someone to thank. There's a lot of people in my life who deserve thanks.
This is one small book that I really appreciate and I think you will too. Just remember, it's all small stuff (mostly). And remember, as Dr. Carlson says, "Turn your Melodrama into a Mellow Drama." You won't go wrong with this book.
Book Review: Preventing small things from becoming major challenges in life. Summary: 5 StarsMany times we worry about the smallest things in life. Richard Carleson, Ph.D., wrote a book to help us prevent small things in our life from becoming major challenges.
Don't Sweat the Small Stuff-and it's all small stuff contains one hundred ways of preventing many of life's small stuff from becoming major disasters. Some of my favorite chapters include: 29. Become a Better Listener, 16. Ask Yourself the Question, "Will This Matter a Year from Now?", and 17. Surrender to the Fact that Life Isn't Fair.
I recommend reading this book in its entirety then keeping it next to your desk or bed and reading one chapter a day. You will see an immediate improvement in your life if you take the advice to heart. I know it has changed the way I live my life.
