Book Reviews of Double Cross (Alex Cross, Book 13)Book Review: Missing pages Summary: 1 Stars
I received the book in excellent condition. New....
It was a gift to my wife , who read it till she got to page 251. Well, next page was 281, so missing a couple of chapters. Inspecting the book , shows it to be new, nothing torn out. So it had to come from the printer like that.
What a let down. I can not fault Amazon.com for that, you would have to read the book to page 251 or, look all throught it to find the fault.
I guess I will have to buy it at a store where I can see if it has the missing pages.

Book Review: james patterson double cross Summary: 4 Stars
I love to read James Patterson's book and Double Cross was a real good read. There were good twists and turns to keep your attention. I read this book in about a week. Craigs return was nice. And I really liked the Alex was working again with his old partner, John Sampson. But yet again Alex has yet another girlfriend. I'm not fond of the so called love side of his stories. They get rude when he explains the way he's turned on. Other than that when it got to the chase of the bad guys it was really good.
Book Review: Weak ending Summary: 2 Stars
The early Alex Cross books by James Patterson were excellent and Double Cross was engrossing for 80%, but the ending was a letdown. Patterson seemed to bring the entire plot to a close so rapidly that he created no suspense and, once again, the killer got away. This was not an "edge of your seat" read. The author's goal is to plant seeds for further novels, but this one left me as a reader feeling empty and unrewarded with a "so what" response and so many questions left unanswered.
Book Review: A fun page-turner Summary: 3 Stars
I enjoyed reading "Double Cross", even though it has some gaping holes in the plot itself. I seem to prefer this version of Alex cross rather than the James Bond-style detective. I personally thought that the end was like other James Paterson books....completely predictable. If you are looking for a quick, entertaining but not very erudite read, I recommend this one. If you are a fan of Alex Cross, this book is for you.
Book Review: Too many loop holes Summary: 2 Stars
This novel leaves far too many things unexplained. Apparently, there is nothing in the world that DCAK or Kyle Craig cannot do (which involves impersonating a police officer, kidnapping a senior detective, traveling to Paris without passport etc). I thought the motives of DCAK should have been explained better. Also, the end is really weird and lame. Disappointing effort by JP.
