Book Reviews of Down RiverBook Review: No Surprise Ending, But a Great Journey. Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this novel on the recommendation of "The Strand" magazine. They never steer me wrong. This book is so well written you don't really mind that you've figured it out a bit early. The ending is no surprise, but it feels human. Great story telling.
Book Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
What an unexpected ending! This book was a "keep reading" book til the end. I could not put the book down til it was finished. I have read two books form John Hart now and both have been EXCELLENT! What a wonderful author!
Book Review: Aspiring to literacy Summary: 2 Stars
This is a silly book. The author is apparently shooting for a Hemingwayesque writing style. But short sentences alone do not create powerful writing. The faux drama and cardboard characters wore thin very quickly.
Book Review: could not put it down!! Summary: 5 Stars
Great Great book. I read it in 2 sittings. An interesting, intricate mystery, with lots of plot changes and surprises. this is his 2nd book i just happened to pick up. I will be definitely reading his first.
Book Review: Good read Summary: 4 Stars
John Hart has a way of writing mystery/suspense thrillers that have a uniques plot, with many twists and turns. He has a good style of writing making his characters believable. Good read.
