Book Reviews of Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing: 5 Steps to Physical, Emotional, and Sexual WellnessBook Review: A Guide to Intuitive Healing Summary: 5 Stars This book is one of the best I have ever read as a true guide to health and wellness. The five steps, Judith Orloff gives can be used in almost any situation both to help you to heal and also to live a happier healthier life. In my own work these steps have become invaluable in helping others and myself.
Judith Orloff has taken the time to compile those five steps in an easy, understandable and functional way.
This is a great self help book and beyond. it is definitely a great addition to anyone's library
Book Review: If you like receiving 'love letters', you'd like this book. Summary: 5 StarsI recommend this book to those of you who, like myself, respond better to a 'gentle nudge' than 'tough love'. Healing 'Self' is a hard work and we need as much support as we can get. Dr. Orloff does that very nicely in her book. I like her writing style. Her voice encourages you page after page. It sounded to me like this... "it's okay if you don't get it the first time. Don't get discouraged. Keep practicing. Be patient and kind to yourself. It will come to you".
The book is full of eye opening concepts and important lessons. I especially liked what Dr. Orloff said about 'forgiveness'. For me, it was worth buying the book just for that one paragraph in which she talks about this subject. I've been struggling to understand what exactly it means. But now that I've learned about energy component of our health, it makes more sense why it takes more than 'thinking' forgiveness and 'acting' forgiveness. One's energy may still carry the scar from the trauma and that needs to be healed before one can 'experience' forgiveness.
Her message through out this book is that we can transcend pain only if we let love to enter our hearts...Good luck and enjoy her book! If you like receiving 'love letters', you'd like this book.
Book Review: My Turn Summary: 5 Stars I love this book (Intuitive Healing )and its concept of giving 5 steps in each chapter to help me process life's events. It validates and embraces all of me. It speaks to and guides my spirit, as I take My Turn on the journey of dealing with my father, hospice, and a non-caring cancer specialist.
My favorite quote is, "Death opens a doorway of perception...
secrets of the spirit will be revealed." (p.233) Dream work at the end of each chapter is my favorite of the 5 steps.
My favorite chapter is 7, Centering and Protection; as a clinical psychologist I have to constantly find ways to stay centered and to protect my personal power in order to minister to my clients with efficacy.
Intuitive Healing/Dr. Orloff; gave me step by step ways to call my spirit back from the "wailing well". And it has helped me find sacred space and a way to stay grounded as I complete My Turn on this challenging journey. This book is my guiding light.
Intuitive Healing and its 5 steps will be one more tool to help me and my clients recognize synchronicity and intuition at work in our everyday grind. It will be required reading for my clients.
