Book Reviews of Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing: Five Steps to Physical, Emotional, and Sexual WellnessBook Review: A Timely Piece of Wisdom Summary: 5 StarsI have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. For me it has been a page-turner. Dr. Orloff's book provided valuable insights in to the power and reality of intuition and spirituality.
I recently lost my father and for the past five months, I have experienced almost everything in life differently. My perspective and outlook has been refocused on what's really important in the all too brief journey down here called life.
Book Review: Orloff is credible Summary: 4 StarsGood follow up for her book " Second Sight". Clearly defines the 'whats' of an empath and how to handle it. However insightful her remarks are, one must realize that the subject material also is her life's work. For those who are not in the field and make a living in more pressing environments, keeping up the regimes that she proposes is not that easy.
Book Review: Rich, rich, rich! Summary: 5 StarsDr. Judith Orloff pours her heart and knowledge into this rich guide on how to use our intuition to heal and contend with any situation. A wide range of spiritual disciplines ranging from energy healing, dreams analysis and tantra are tied together in a readable fashion by anecdotes drawn from Dr. Orloff's wealth of experiences. In addition to her work as a psychiatrist, she seems to have "lived and seen it all" (almost) ranging from psychic visions at a young age, a near-death experience, the loss of her parents, drugs, to life in a half-way house . She draws on these experiences to create a web of stories and teachings that inspire us to use our intuition for spiritual, physical, psychological and sexual healing. I recommend this book to anyone open to the new paradigm shift that is occurring in our medical system, and particularly to those wanting to integrate and enrichen the various facets of their personal development (aka healing) through intuition. Thank you Dr. Orloff for this great gift.
Book Review: The Way Medicine Should Be Practiced Summary: 5 StarsOrloff's guide was recently recommended to me by someone at Children's Hospital. In reading it, my feeling was, "Finally! Someone who understands the way medicine should be practiced!" The best health care providers are not only technically competent, but also LISTEN and act as a PARTNER with their patients. Orloff describes how physicians and patients can partner together. She also notes that one way to find a practitioner willing to partner with you is through the American Holistic Medical Association, http://www.holisticmedicine.org/ahma/public?action=findDoctors. My own father was able to find a good physician this way.
As a spiritually based coach (...) with an extremely strong belief in and support of how Orloff describes self care, I am thrilled to offer Orloff as a resource to clients who seek more information in this area.

Book Review: Spirit Summary: 5 StarsKudos Dr. J. Though I enjoyed all of the interesting things that happened to you in Second Sight, it was told all in the first person and I struggled with that. This guide to Intuitive Healing however, is much improved and told from the point of view of the Spirit. In fact, just reading the first few pages caused me to fall in love and I had to put it down for it created in me a longing to connect with the Spirit. Your sense of humor shines through in many places making this a very enjoyable read.
