Book Reviews of Drop Shot (Myron Bolitar)

Book Review: Myron's the man
Summary: 5 Stars

I hesitantly picked this up since a friend recommended that I give it a try...I was hesitant to read anything that referenced Tennis in the title.

The second book in the Myron Bolitar series, the characters really grew on me during the story and are a pretty likable bunch. The ending was a total shocker that I didn't see coming. I'm 100% hooked on the Bolitar series and I can't wait to finish the rest.

Book Review: predictable
Summary: 3 Stars

There were no surprises and it was very predictable. I don't find the "heat" between Jessica and Myron. I just don't feel it. I felt one of the storylines (Valerie's 6 year old sister) was partially developed and that it was going in another direction.

I happen to love Harlan Coben's writing. but, not in this book. His standalone books are where he excels.

Book Review: An Overhand Smash of a Novel
Summary: 5 Stars

Harlan Coben is a genius in the mystery literary world. This book reads faster than a Pete Sampras serve. With a blistering-paced plot and the funniest dialogue known to the mystery world, DROP SHOT is nothing but pure magic. This book is a must read. I can't wait to read the rest of the Myron Bolitar mystery series. DROP SHOT will not dissappoint.

Book Review: Will Keep Reading the Bolitar Series For Sure
Summary: 4 Stars

The second in the Bolitar series continues with the development of the lead character, as well as his cohorts Win and Esperanza. Good story telling by Coben, well-crafted intrigue and twists and turns, and participants who jump off the pages. I'm not new to Coben, but am new to the Bolitar series - will definitely keep reading them!

Book Review: Things aren't always as they seem
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the 2nd Myron Bolitar book I've read. I've always enjoyed reading books in a series, so this one did not disappoint. The plot was fast-paced and easy to follow. I thought I had figured out the killer, but was wrong. I did however figure out the true identity of one of the key characters. I plan to read the next in the series.
