Book Reviews of Earl Mindell's New Vitamin Bible

Book Review: Rediscovery Of Simple Solutions
Summary: 5 Stars

Have been back in the gym for about three years as an "old timer" - watch the diet plus we do not drink alchohol, coffee and/or smoke.... for 40 years. Have been aware of how important it is to eat correctly and have been taking a vitamin pill every day and wondering exactly what the benefits were beyond what we thought was taking place.

This "Vitamin Bible" turned out to be a re-education regarding every aspect of feeding the body and mind - interesting reading and beneficial regarding necesary information for anyone considering the basics for living "better". Although we considered ourself to be "enlightened" we are realizing, with the turning of each page, that we have barely scratched the surface of knowledge as relates to Vitamins, Minerals and Food for the maximization of our physical potential to live and feel better..... to live well within our body.

Book Review: Excellent Guide for Health
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book last week and it's excellent value for money. It has all the information about vitamins and herbs; it gives recommendations as well as warnings; advice about specific ailments, and so much more. I was surprised at the depth of information given. For example, my doctor told me that the herb known as horsetail helped halt osteoporosis when taken along with calcium. He also recommended boron. Nowhere else have I found confirmation of that information but this book mentions both. Unfortunately, you will not find horsetail listed in the index. That is the only complaint I have about the book that, occasionally, just occasionally, something was not listed in the index that was referred to in the text. If you care about your health, I recommend it. It's a no-nonsense book.

Book Review: Great Update!
Summary: 4 Stars

I had purchased Earl's bible at a used book store. Alas, it was from 1979. Even though it may have been "out of date" the information was right on! The Anniversary edition was just as good as I expected. The preliminary findings of some "vitamins" from 1979, were just as he wrote, the new bible just solidified the information. I take this information and compare with my other research, Earl is usually in-line. I don't believe anything verbatim, but this a great basis for natural health. I tell everyone who is interested in vitamins and natural supplements that this book is a MUST have in their library.

Book Review: Double check the facts
Summary: 1 Stars

For whatever reason Amazon negated my last review. I am not sure why.
Anyway. My issue was that in researching this book, and whether to buy or not, I found out the author, per the cover no less of his book, states he is a Ph.D. He doesn't have a recognized Ph.d as the degree is from a diploma mill. This is not opinion, this is fact. I thought the potential reader should know this before purchasing a book by the good "Dr.".
Amazon really should do better about allowing such materials to be sold on their website.

Book Review: My all time favourite health and beauty emergency enziclopedia
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought my first edition in 1988 in Portland Oregon, USA. I had lived a very busy life sofar: extensive travelling, film shoots, difficult clients, too much drink, not enough sleep, 2 babies in one year 1991. But since I had the book I learned about the needs of my body and how to keep me fit with artificial(tablets) or natural(food) supplements.
I am 58 now. I look good, I feel great and had enough energy to bring my to children through their teenage years.
Easy to read, never gets out of date- perfect.
