Book Review: This is the definition of will power and survival! Summary: 5 StarsDavid Peltzer, at a very young age, came to face death and fear and rose above them. He was truely a remarkable young boy! It is a reminder of what children are truely capeable of. Time and time again, David refuses to let the pain and anguish his family inflicts upon him to squash his will to live. I am disgusted and confused at how a mother (and family) could be so evil! This woman is very sick. The more frightening thought is there are others out there like her... My heart goes out to these children. Mr. Peltzer, yours is a remarkable survival story!
Book Review: I never read a book in 2 hours before, It was great . Summary: 5 StarsA young boy serching for a way to get loose from his abusive mother. It's a wonderful book, you should buy it. If you cant afford it,go to the library. You wont be there for more than 3 hours!
Book Review: One book that SHOULD help you to see abuse first hand!!! Summary: 5 StarsA great book! I felt so sorry for David. I have a 22 month old at home and after reading "A Child Called It" I will more and more let my daughter know how much she is Loved!! I am now reading "The Lost Boy". At times I wanted to stop reading because I just could NOT believe a mother could be that cruel to her own son. Another reason I wanted to put down the book was that I dislike abuse and that was more than I wanted to hear about. "Great job Dave" The Adams Family will continue to Pray for you!!!
Book Review: Dave is indeed a survivor! Summary: 5 StarsSo many children encounter abuses such as Mr. Pelzer's. I read his first two books in less than one day. I work in foster care services and am a strong advocate for children. People can help children in need of our care; however, you must report abuse. Be the abuse emotional or physical, it all affects our children. Children who encounter these abuses may indeed be scarred for life. My thanks to Dave for being so brave in telling his story. By seminars, Dave also tells his story in person. Most abused children do not get a chance to tell their story. I certainly hope that it helps to open up our eyes and watch out for our children.
