Book Reviews of Elder Rage or, Take My Father... Please! How To Survive Caring For Aging Parents

Book Review: THE MOST INCREDIBLE INFORMATION YOU CAN GET
Summary: 5 Stars

This book totally changed my outlook on my father. Before this book, I felt so alone. Now I know I have others who share my pain and my joy (such as it is)... It is difficult to see aging parents change into an "evil twin", even harder without help. I STRONGLY URGE ANYBODY WHO HAS AN ELDER PERSON IN THEIR LIVES TO READ THIS BOOK. RIGHT NOW.

Book Review: mental health crisis
Summary: 5 Stars

I would recommend the purchase of this book to anyone who has parents. With the recent events in the news, you will fully understand how someone could fall through the cracks (actually canyons) of the mental health system.

Book Review: Thank you, Jacqueline
Summary: 5 Stars

What a riveting book....it has been so helpful to me, as my Dad has Dementia/Alzheimer's type. Her advice and experience are giving my family the heads up as to what to be expecting and what we can do for caregiving and where to go for other help. I thank her for all that she is doing to make us all aware of this horrible disease and yet trying to put humor into it as well.

Thanks again.

Book Review: Elder Rage, or Take My Father
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great book. I felt so much better about my situation after reading about hers. Wow! It encouraged me to get my mom into day care for elders and she went today for the first time and asked if she can go back tomorrow.

Book Review: I laughed till I cried

never have much time to read until my sister told me about this book, since we are four sisters going thru this with our parents..my father is 104 and my mother 87..she is the one with dementia..feel bad for my dad that has to put up with her mood swings, but this book has made us realize we are not alone...so many funny things that happened to jacqueline and heartbreaking at the same time..we can certainly identify...It helped me to realize that I need more patience with my mom and as long as she's alive, I will do and say things to make her happy..it is so sad to see someone who used to be full of energy and loved to sing and dance and look her best when going out, just sit and wither away, has lost interest in so many things..we will not put our parents in a home..they live in a mobil home now, which to them is their castle...this is where they want to be till the end...god give us the strenght to carry on...thank you jacqueline, you have been a godsend...Emily Andert
