Book Reviews of Essentials of General SurgeryBook Review: Good, not excellent buy! Summary: 4 Stars
The book, although in general terms is well organized and practical, doesn't cover general topics like urology or thoracic surgery, which i belive to be "Essentials to General Surgery." Still, i benefited from it a lot, so i would recommed it.
Book Review: Not great Summary: 3 Stars
This was a required text in medical school. It is long on text & short on illustrations, which I personally find uninviting so I did not use it as a go-to reference.

Book Review: Good Book Summary: 4 Stars
Good book for introductory purposes. It describes many procedures and gives you a good basis for understanding. Not a good book for actually learning how to do a surgery!
Book Review: Too basic Summary: 1 Stars
Poor book for use on surgery rotation. Poor organization as well as inadequate depth. Surgical Recall and the first AID series books are both far better options
Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is very well written and easy to understand. It does not go in great depth like Sabiston, but it is very good for a third year rotation.
