Book Reviews of Everyday PastaBook Review: Lots of good recipes Summary: 5 Stars
I received this recently as a gift and have made a handful of the dishes contained which have all turned out exactly as I expected. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that almost all of the recipes looked appetizing and were simple to make. Giada does a wonderful job, both on her show, and in her book explaining in simple terms how to prepare her dishes.
If you love pasta, this is definitely the book for you.
Book Review: Creative ideas for main and side dishes Summary: 4 Stars
If you've ever wondered why Italians love pasta and serve it so frequently, best-selling author Giana De Laurentiis makes the reasons very clear here. There are light recipies, hearty recipies, traditional and creative ones, and a selection of complementary dishes to serve as well. What a treat! The photos and tips add to the useful ideas, as does the brief section on Italian wines, the suggested menus, and the index.
Book Review: So good I wore the book out Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book about a year ago, and have browsed through it and used it so much that the book is literally falling apart. Giada's Italian recipes are by far the best of any Italian cookbook I've ever had. Most are fairly practical, and almost all are delicious. I highly recommend "Everyday Pasta" and any other Giada cookbook.
I'm going to buy a new copy before my old book is completely worn out.
Book Review: Exactly like the show. Summary: 3 Stars
It is not that the cookbook is of poor quality; it is just that if you are a fan of the show, the majority of the recipies came directly from Everyday Italian. People can easily download most of the recipes off of the foodnetwork's website. I really wish she would have spent the extra time to add an extra twenty recipes to make it worth the price of the cookbook, instead of making it a "repeat" cookbook.
Book Review: Gotta love Giada Summary: 5 Stars
I am the most heterosexual woman in the world, but I would switch teams in a New York minute for Giada DeLaurentis. She is my girl crush--I love her!!!!! I also love all her cookbooks, and this one is another winner. Her dishes are so simple, so healthy and so elegant. Also, this cookbook is really nice to look at--beautifully put together. Anyone who doesn't love this cookbook is out of their mind.
