A very good follow up to the two previous books in the series. It's a good fantasy fling into a historic time and place. Sharon Kay Penman STILL has everyone beat though as far as historical fiction is concerned. If you really would like to smell the battlefield, hear the clash of swords and the scream of of dying men and horses check out her books.
