What should have been a difficult book to get through turned out to be a sheer delight. Dr. Darold Treffert has managed translate his 30 years of scientific research into a moving and awe inspiring tale. Thoughout the book he rather articulately describes the scientific reasons for Savant Syndrome. He also paints portrait after portrait of men and women with whom he has personally met that have this syndrome.
This book was one of the choices for required reading in my english class and I am so glad I selected it. If you are interested in the mind or brain at all you will love this book.
