Once again, Kevyn Aucoin astonishes us with his cosmetic artistry. I bought Making Faces last year and it has been a staple of my beauty routine since. Face Forward reads easy and is filled to the brim with beautiful photography of some of the most influential women of our time including Madonna, Winona Ryder, Cher and Gwyneth Paltrow. He also transforms their already gorgeous faces to reflect the personal style and image of some of the greatest screen legends of all time like Audrey Hepburn, Faye Dunaway and Liz Taylor. I've been a long time admirer of Kevyn Aucoin, having bought his book Making Faces. I immediately purchased this one, and let me tell you, it's worth EVERY PENNY! Don't tell me that Winona Ryder is Liz Taylor. That Gwyneth Paltrow is Faye Dunaway. That MARTHA STEWART can look glamorous as Veronica Lake. That Calista Flockhart bears such a striking resemblence to Audrey Hepburn. That Tina Turner isn't just as I would picture Cleopatra. And don't tell me that Hilary Swank is Raquel Welch in One Million Years BC! This book is a work of pure makeup genius, and I don't know anyone other than Kevyn who could pull that off.Book Review: Great for Coffee Table

I bought this book because I love Kevin Aucoin and I think that he is an extremely talented make up artist. I keep it on my coffee table but I also look through it for tips for myself. What I have found is that my guest can not help themselves from picking up the book and asking questions about the models. It's like a game, 'Guess who the model really is'. It is striking to them when they find out that Veronica Lake is actually Martha Stewart or that Linda Evangelista is actually a well coiffed man. If you have an open mind and you love make up, pick this one up.Book Review: A Face for Everyone.

Definately the pinnacle of Kevyn's star-studded career this book is DRIPPING in celebrities from cover to cover! Each super star poses as Kevyn's canvass and boy does he go wild! Highly creative, highly impressive, highly glamorous! The only problem of course being that you would need the face of a celebrity and the talent of Kevyn to pull off most of the looks! But oh well Kevyn showed his own star power in this book before his tragic and too-soon death. He will DEFINATELY be missed by film and fashion elite and by the millions of fans and acolytes he acquired!
