Book Reviews of Faces of Fear: A Novel

Book Review: Beauty is only skin deep...and this book is just as shallow
Summary: 1 Stars

Dull, predictable suspense (??) thriller from Saul. I barely got thru this one. Normally a solid read with some spooky stuff but this one has no spooks and is quite tame. The ending is predictable but the motives and in depthness of the main antagonist are missing. I think Saul mailed this one in to meet a deadline. Does no author with a long list of books under their name (read Patterson, Cornwell, etc) have someone overseeing this dribble. At this point in his career, Saul does not need to meet any publishing demands.

Book Review: Great Read!
Summary: 5 Stars

A very good book from start to finish. Once I got started, I had to keep on reading. Good plot with interesting characters. I love all of John Saul books, and he has never disappointed me. His books are true to form and you can always look forward to reading something new and different. I will be looking forward to the next book. S.L. Book Review: What a disappointment!
Summary: 1 Stars

I have read every one of John Saul's books, and this one by far disappointed me beyond belief. You could easily tell where the story was going and while it was a fast read, it was a book I cannot in good conscience recommend to anyone!

However, having read all of John Saul's books, I fully believe his next one will be back to his usual standards of suspense, and a fun read. Don't disappoint me John!!

Book Review: Unbelievable
Summary: 1 Stars

The plot and characters were both unbelievable. I usually love his books, not this one. The plastic surgeon cannot fix his wife's face fast enough (she was in an accident and her face is ruined)--she kills herself. He finds a sixteen year old that he can mold into his perfect woman and marries the mother to get to her. Give me a break! Please check this out at the library and save your money.

Book Review: I want my money back !
Summary: 1 Stars

The first thing I want to say is "I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!" I am not a John Saul fan and after this book I probably never will be. This book is a farce and the plot is ridiculously bad. John, if you are reading this, can you imagine all the "Faces of Disbelief" when your readers find out the identity of the "psycho computer genius".
