Book Review: Great new brides gift

I am putting together the third book for a bridal shower gift. It's a great gift if you are a close family member or close friend. For all three showers I sent out cards and pages from the book in advance. Grandmoms, aunts, cousins,moms and even fathers and uncles were eager to share recipes and stories. Even if you just give a blank book to the bride, it's a great gift. My nieces gave cards from their albums out to collect recipes they want long after their weddings. For my son's wedding I've already started putting together some of the recipes he will want his wife to know and the wedding is a year away. One of the best features is the sheet protectors to enclose some of those old handwritten recipes. I was able to include some from a great grandmother who died years ago. I purchased this for a friends daughter for a wedding gift. She loved it, makes me feel good when a gift is so appreciated! Anyhow, there's room for those recipe cards that friends and relatives share their favorite recipes on and a place to put recipes in that you clip out of a magazine, and more cards to put your new favorites on. Wish I'd have received something this great back in the dark ages when I got married!
I recommend this as a shower or wedding gift or just as a gift for yourself. It's always a good thing to be organized in the kitchen.

Family Recipe Collection Book I am hosting a bridal shower and decided that since the couple had most everything they needed, that a recipe shower would be the perfect way to honor the Bride and connect the families and friends of the couple. Share a favorite recipe, include a gift that relates to the recipe and present them in the Family Recipe Collection Book. It's beautiful and inexpensive and will become a treasured addition to regular cookbooks.Book Review: Extremely useful

I got this for my wife, who had asked for a place to keep recipes. This is a great storage solution, because it allows so many different formats: clippings, printouts, the included cards and full-page recipe sheets, anything.
I'm not a huge fan of the cover; I would have liked the book even better with less ornate stuff on the cover. But it's the kind of thing one can excuse, given the high quality of the overall product. It's much more useful than competing products, as far as I can tell.
Book Review: Disapppointed

The book is very attractive, has good pages for inserts and recipe cards, however, the one I received had misaligned rings that did not close properly. In addition, I was disappointed and rather put off by the author's detailed memories printed on the back of each divider page. Her family memories are appropriate for her and her family, but not so appropriate for others. It spoiled the book for me and now I am hesitant to present it (with recipes) to my daughter-in-law-to-be at her bridal shower.
