Book Reviews of Famous Dave's Backroads & SidestreetsBook Review: Perfect! Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent cookbook. If you like Famous Dave's food, or BBQ and Southern food in general, this is a great cookbook for you! It's got just enough recipes to give you the basics, but just enough ingredients for the basics to not be,...well,..basic.
Their bread pudding is to die for, so is the smoked salmon spread. There really are a ton of recipes in here.
Book Review: Loved the cook book Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for a friend for christmas because she had gone to the library to use recipes in Famous Backroads & Sidestreets recipe book. The only way I can truely explain her reaction is in the old saying, " A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS. " In other word was VERY happy!
Book Review: Great recipes Summary: 5 Stars
Dave Anderson has taken the time to give his insight into the history of Famous Dave's. It makes for some interesting reading, but the real gem of this book is the recipes. The bread pudding is sinful. You have to make it at least once in your life.
Book Review: A Five Star rating underestimates this cullinary work of art Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a BBQ and comfort food cookbook collector and if I were only allowed to keep just three, this would be one of them. The pictures are outstanding throughout the book, a great gift for the cook in the family and you will also enjoy the benefits.
Book Review: Real BBQ even in the northland Summary: 5 Stars
This book does it all. It shows what can be done with BBQ even in Minnesota. The restaurant is a slice of the south in the upper midwest and the cookbook takes you all over the country. I've been there and this is the real thing:-))
