Book Reviews of Fancy Nancy

Book Review: Grand daughter loved it!
Summary: 4 Stars

We got this for one of our grand daughters (just about 6 at the time), and she loved it. I don't know what else to say about it beyond that, since that's what counts I'd say that's all that matters. We had it sent directly to her, so we were unable to read it ourselves first, but our daughter read it with her and was not concerned at all about the content in it (so often that's a problem these days, even with young children's books - fortunately not in this case).

So, the most qualified reviewer available (a 6 year old girl) says it was great!

Book Review: Sooo Cute!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this book about a month ago. My 5 year old daughter fell in love with it after the first reading. We had to read it 4 more times right in a row. I think it's because she can relate to Nancy who is sooo FANCY. My daughter loves all the accessories that Nancy uses to help her family become "fancy" like "Nancy". I think my daughter really likes it because there is someone else out there that likes to be "fancy" just like her!! This is a great book. We can never read it just once!!! Read it and enjoy it and then try to become Fancy like Nancy!!

Book Review: Nancy is a true girl
Summary: 4 Stars

I have a horrible feeling that this little girl was me at that age, before I went I-couldn't-care-less in fashion. But Nancy, for all her frills, has a heart of gold and just wants to teach the world to have a little more class, bless her heart.

Nancy makes for a charismatic narrator, and it's easy to get inside her head. At the same time, the ways of her family also hit home.

Rather than having a life-changing message, this is a sweet story with lots of heart that just wants to express that everyone is different and that's okay.

Book Review: the proud mommy of two fancies!
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a gift from their aunt. The cover stopped her dead in her tracks since it looks just like my 4 year old. My girl immediately fell in love with this book. This is such a great book about nurturing the "different" side of your child's personality. Not only do they allow her to be an individual, but they humor her quest to make the world a fancier, more interesting place. This is just an uplifting, comforting book about letting little girls indulge their prancy fancy side.Love it love it love it. This is why God gave me two girls.

Book Review: I AM Fancy Nancy!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a book I don't mind reading over, and over and over again! I love anything that glitters and sparkles and my daughter does too. After reading this book, OUR whole family dressed up fancy in my 3 year old's dress up clothes and had a "fancy parade"...even my husband. It is not only a fun and funny book, but I appreciate the not so hidden vocabulary lessons strewn throughout. I am an English teacher and I always welcome a creative way to teach children to speak better. Thank you Jane O'Conner for "Fancy Nancy"!
