Book Review: Simpler does not mean less tasty

This is the best cookbook, in my opinion, for those of us who have busy lifestyles but still prefer delicious home cooked meals. I have given numerous copies of this as gifts and the recipients have all been appreciative. I have tried 75% of the recipes, which is amazing in itself, and only one dish was disappointing. I was SO excited to get this book for Christmas. I got hooked on watching Jacques Pepin on PBS a while back, and it always impresses me how he can quickly put together such elegant and delicious meals. The book is nicely organized, and it offers recipes and ideas you can use for entertaining or for just a yummy, quick weeknight meal. I'll definitely be referring to this quite often!Book Review: Wonderfully refreshing.

As viewers of Jacques Pepin's shows on PBS will attest the chef has a breezy, refreshing style of cooking and manner that is very elegant and entertaining. I have enjoyed this book ever since I first encountered it. It is a treat to watch his knife skills. He could clearly kill a man by stabbing him in the chest and extracting his heart before the lifeless body fell to the ground.Book Review: Merci Jacques! WOW!

Last night had friends for dinner and cooked the cod with walnut and cilantro sauce. Dinner for 6 took about 40 minutes to make, looked incredible but the best is that the taste was simply outstanding! We entertain often, so cooking quickly is important but so is high quality and taste. I cannot recommend this enough... and check out his other books too. they are outstanding.Book Review: Love 'em ALL!

I've bought many cookbooks over the years and I've always thought I was lucky to find one (1) recipe in each that I would actually make and like. Everything I try from this book I love! Delicious, easy for a casual night alone or for friends or even a more formal dining for two! I've never been so happy with a purchase. It's just good home made food . . .
