Book Reviews of Fast Food My WayBook Review: Easy, delicious recipes Summary: 5 Stars
I was intrigued by the PBS series, to which this book is the companion. Have tried two of the recipes so far and they have been immediate, and repeated hits. I will certainly cook from this book again and again. Gorgeous photography, easy to follow directions and valuable tips. Jacques Pepin has delivered another recipe treasure!
Book Review: On of my favorite Summary: 5 Stars
Jacques Pepin is wonderful. The recipes that he propose are so simple but yet so delicious. Really in a few minutes you will be able to make a wonderful meal. I would recommend it to anyone who does not want to spend hours in the kitchen. I also have Simple and Simply Delicious by Sylvie Rocher. Those two books are great!
Book Review: Another Great Cookbook From "America's" Beloved French Chef Summary: 5 Stars
Each recipe in this book is easy, delicious and fast; exactly as it is advertised.
Two of the recipes have already become family favorites, and I've gifted a copy to a dear friend who admired the dessert gratin I made for a party at her home using Pepin's recipe which I've memorized.
Happy Cooking!
Book Review: He just keeps getting better! Summary: 5 Stars
I've long admired Pepin and have several of his earlier books. This newest book (and PBS series) brings us his approach to "fast food" which I think is meant with a wink and a smile. It's only fast in the time sense! I'm a serious foodie and this is real cooking; equally useful for family meals or entertaining.
Book Review: NEVER had a better cookbook Summary: 5 Stars
In this fantastic book of basic recipes, Jacques Pepin explains so well that great food can be incredibly simple. I use it frequently, and often look in it for inspiration when working with other (less well thought-out)recipes. Quite a few of the recipes have become family favorites.
The best!
