Book Reviews of Feel the Fear . . . and Do It AnywayBook Review: I finally did it... Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of those books I've often thumbed through in book stores and libraries over the past couple of decades, and now, after reading a 1987 edition brought home by my wife, I find myself telling others about it when that seems appropriate. I also recently gave it to a family member facing the anxiety of medical testing and it helped us both feel our fears and do the tests anyway. The title itself became a calming mantra, but this book is filled with really good and clear guidance.
Get a copy, read it, and keep it close by.
Book Review: A not-so-good shopping experience. Summary: 2 Stars
It took 4 weeks for me to get my purchase! I emailed the company several times and while they offered to refund my money and expedite me another copy if mine hadnt arrived in a timely fashion, I have yet to see my refund and they were more concerned with me removing a mediocre review than anything else. Their public response to my last review was "Wish she had let me know, I would have been happy to help.", which was absurd because I contacted them SEVERAL times and voiced my displeasure. I will definately not be ordering from them again.
Book Review: I felt the fear... Summary: 4 Stars
This book is great. I remember reading it when I was in college at 18 I never took the information seriously but the title always stayed in my head now 20 years later I decided to re-read the book and it is great. I have totally turned my thinking around and am able to face a lot of my fears. Even though I have a long way to go I still was able to make some immediate changes. I could kick myself for having gone through 20 years of pain and fear when I had the tool and resources to make my life more enjoyable right under my nose.
Book Review: Helpful little book Summary: 4 Stars
This book was recommended to me by a career counselor who was assisting me in the job search. The book has some helpful and important ideas concerning overcoming fear and getting things accomplished. Well-written, easy-to-read style. Not every chapter will be relevant to your situation perhaps, but at least the main message will be. Of course if you buy it based on the title, because you have trouble overcoming some fear, then it will be worth the purchase price.
Book Review: Feel the Fear...and get a grip!! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is changing the way I wake up in the morning, how I go through my day, and how I deal with obstacles and disappointments. Susan Jeffers gives simple, down-to-earth examples and solutions on how to deal with every day fears we may not even realize we have. This is not for phobias, but fears--fear of failure, success, change, etc. I can't put it down, and I can't wait to re-read it! This is definitely something I will be sharing with my co-workers!
