Meditations is a must read for anyone who flies, especially for the ennued, the numbed, the masses of workers who use the airways for a living. As I enter an airport I feel like I have to leave my personality in the car and put on my Invisible Man suit.

Meditations is easy to read and right on target. There's no preaching, no sermon, no verses to memorize. It's a book you'll want to take on every trip. Nuggets abound. Except for airport bathrooms, every phase of flying is addressed with a positive way of thanking God for who we are and what we can be.

Lord, never let me be a non-dairy creamer in real life.

An example; The Barf Bag: "Many years ago, they were quite obvious in the front of your seat. Now, they are more hidden. Perhaps the airline doesn't want you to think they will be necessary, so they are tucked neatly in some hard to find place..."

"Life has its own barf bag We call it confession. When you confess the things you have done to God or to another person, a load is lifted from your life. It may not be as nasty as the bag on the plane, but it is much more soothing. Confession removes the rough spots from your life and makes you feel whole again. Try it. And, before you go any further, you may want to make sure your bag is in its proper place. Lord take my sins on you."

Short, humorous, insightful, easy-to-read and digest, all said in a non-confrontational, blameless manner.

Dr. Scott doesn't bring guilt, he brings God's grace.
