Book Review: well made but not very pretty

the dolls are made from very good paper, very sturdy. And I have to say I like the design of the clothes whereas they have a front and back that fold over the dolls. The dolls themselves are very pretty.
The details are very nice but the dresses are just not very pretty. My girls and I expected fairy tales dress but got a little too woodsy ones. the colors are really quite dull- a lot of browns and greens. Pretty pastels or bright colors like flowers would have been better. The best thing we can do is mabey make our own dresses.
Sorry, can not recommend this to anyone. I would not have wasted my money it if I had seen it in a store first.

I have loved paper dolls my whole life. When I was preschool age, I would draw a doll with the cardboard from the shirt packages my dad got and then I would draw my own outfits with newsprint and color them with crayons. What fun.
These are the most beautiful paper dolls I have seen yet. If you notice the other reviews, only one was negative saying the outfits were not pretty. I am utterly flabbergasted. These outfits are for FLOWER FAIRIES, so of course they are made of petals and other woodland materials! Don't miss out on the fun and beauty of these dolls, get one for all the sweet girls you know and keep one for yourself. I did.

Oh, so pretty!
What a super little gift this is for the little girl in your life. There are two little girl dolls and two little boys. They have eight changes of costume that are absolutely lovely in a way that is not loud or garish.
The great part is the ease of removing the figures from the sturdy paper because of perforations all around. There's a lot less work before the play begins! There's an added plus of a storage pouch at the back of the book on the inside, so that the precious little pieces don't go missing.
This is a wonderful toy that will encourage creative play without breaking the bank.

My daughter received this as a gift for her 4th birthday, she loves dressing the paper doll fairies and they are stunningly beautiful. The outfits are also gorgeous with lots of detail and there is a pocket in the back of the book to hold all the outfits in. This is the ideal gift for when a classmate has a birthday party, it is unique, inexpensive and encourages imaginative play.
These paper dolls are not princesses, they are woodland fairies. They are unique and beautiful, not the same old gawdy princess-vapor stuff you see at Walmart and the like.

Sturdy for a paper doll, the dolls and clothes are 2 sided. the clothes fit over the head and connect at the bottom. 4 paper dolls, 8 outfits. There is a page of accessories and inside the back cover there is a moderate sized envelope to keep it all in. I bought this to decorate my toddler daughters room with; however my 9 year "grown up" niece fell in love, so I'll have to buy another. My favorite part of these fairies is their modesty and innocence. And of course their detail.
