Book Reviews of French Women Don't Get FatBook Review: This book cahnged my life! Summary: 5 Stars
I have read this book at least ten times to really adopt the "French way" of eating and I lost 25 pounds with no feelings of deprivation. My whole life is filled with so much more quality all the way around. I ride my bike every day and take long strolls in the evening. I eat dark chocolate and drink wine with dinner. I take long lunches and linger over coffee and fresh baguette in the morning. As you can see losing the weight was a joy and thanks to this book I live in the moment taking in life's pleasures and staying slim just like a French girl. BUY THIS BOOK and let it change your life too.
Book Review: I don't think of it as a diet book Summary: 4 Stars
I first bought a copy a few years ago, and still find myself thinking and referring to it often. Like last night, my boyfriend wanted to make yogurt, and I knew the author had easy, great recipes. (Mireille Guiliano writes of her devotion to house-made yogurt. Since first reading the book, I always make my own.) I bought this extra copy for my 65-year-old Mom, and we've talked about how the book is about loving life - including the joys of walks, good champagne, family, and fresh foods and recipes. I'll always keep my own copy around.
Book Review: mireille guiliano Summary: 4 Stars
while I found mireille somewhat of an aristocrat with her opinions of french women(I have learned that most french women are actually not so picky),i did find this book quite informative on how to eat healthy & moderately! I have used this method for about one month now & have lost 3 pounds. I am now wearing clothes that were in my closet that i could not wear because i was too flabby. I now eat yogurt, cheese, bread & drink a glass of wine daily. I'm 45 yrs old & I'm wearing my slim jeans again!!! This isn't a diet & it works!!
Book Review: Pre-natal care in France makes the difference Summary: 1 Stars
There has been more than 100 years of solid pre-natal care in France. This makes all the difference to the growing fetus whether it is programmed with thrifty genes or not. Read about intergenerational medicine and you will understand it has very little to do with what the author proposes but that pregnant French mothers ate high quality food that impacted the way the baby to be born will interact with its environment - namely the food s/he will eat. NOT about breathing deeply before you eat your food....
Book Review: Yes! Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book at the beginning of last summer and it really stuck with me.
Three months later I was 10 pounds lighter and a million times happier.I lost weight, but more importantly, I began enjoying life more and felt better about myself and how I looked. This is truly a lifestyle book--not a diet book--that, if you follow its teachings, will without a doubt help you stay healthy--physically and mentally.
