Book Review: A Miracle Of Information and Resources!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was diagnosed two years ago with CFS/FM and have spent that time reading everything I could get my hands on to learn more about it. I guarantee you I now know more than most doctors who have not stayed up with the current research and information on this complicated and life-changing disorder. My first doctor just recommended anti-depressants. I finally found a very knowledgeable Naturopathic Doctor who helped greatly with the right lab work, diet changes and supplements. BUT Dr. Teitelbaum's book put all the information in one place, explained it in understandable language, designed it for both the patient AND the practitioner, AND gave me access to the supplements on-line, at a tremendous savings from what I had been spending previously.

To the bigoted id**t who wrote the religion slamming review stating that you could spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on Dr. T's supplements, it is so obvious you didn't read the book! You don't take all the supplement on his web-site. The supplements are carefully customized to the individual patient depending on symptoms. Dr. T also does NOT take a profit on supplements. He contributes profits to charities. Dr. T is a fibromyalgia patient and his interest is in helping others. The book is designed to help the reader craft their own treatment plan. I now save HUNDREDS of dollars a month using his system and supplements.

Book Review: Fantastic is Fantastic
Summary: 5 Stars

Dr Teitelbaum has done an exceptional job writing this book. Since it is so hard for us to read and understand information, he has stated his program with an organized and easy to understand format.

I started his program at one of his clinics three months ago. This book and his program has done for me what no one else could in the last 7 years. I am almost pain free, and able to do a little more each week.

Since Dr Teitelbaum has Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia himself, he has studied, experimented and listened to himself and others. His program has medical facts to back it up, and are explained extremely well in this book. I did not realize how many people were as sick as myself, until I started going to one of his nationwide clinics.

This book is for anyone who has fatiuge, or pain, or who has a loved one with unexplained symptoms that doctors are putting off as a mental disorder. Fibro and Fatigue are real, and Dr Teitelbaum and his staff of doctors have the answers, and will help you every step of the way.

Buying this book has been a God send for me. It has information that I reference all most daily. Good luck with your search to get well, but getting this book is a great first step.

Book Review: Tired no More: From Fatigued to Fantastic to the rescue!
Summary: 5 Stars

From Fatigued to Fantastic! By Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D.

This book could easily have been subtitled: "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, but Were Too Tired to Ask." No need to ask, because as one commercial goes, "It's all in there!" Not only is the coverage comprehensive, it is written with compassion, care, and concern for the person plagued with chronic fatigue and its related syndrome, fibromyalgia.

The core of the book is Dr. Teitelbaum's SHIN protocol. This acronym represents Sleep Issues, Hormonal Support, Infections, and Nutrition. Each of these four important areas of treatment has its own chapter, because he believes these four issues, with symptoms treated simultaneously, are the most crucial to overcoming chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. However, the book goes well beyond these four important points, because Dr. Teitelbaum includes natural remedies and prescription pain relief remedies, weight gain associated with the illnesses, and the mind-body connection in illness. For example, Chapter 10 is called "Am I Crazy?" and one I would recommend reading first if you have any doubts about the reality of CFS/FMS.

Read, learn, and restore your energy.

Book Review: Helped me a lot, a vital resource
Summary: 4 Stars

I have used this book as a resource for resolving the persistent virus symptoms I've had for seven years. I bought it at the same time I found a new doctor to help me so I can't say it was just the data in the book. In fact, my doctor doesn't necessarily agree with Teitelbaum.

However, the information in the book is vital and you do get the sense that in the sea of mis-information and ignorance about the illnesses addressed in the book, this is a lifesaver.

For me, B-12 shots and more recently, gamma globulin shots, are working. I am also taking a dozen of the supplements this book recommends (I bought them from the author's website and I think they are excellent quality). I feel a lot better than I have for many years.

As an example of how this book helped me, when I started the gamma shots, I got really sick after a few days. Teitelbaum explains why this might happen (die-off reaction) and so I went through it without the stress I might have otherwise.

The book directs you to resources you might never find otherwise. For this alone it is WELL worth the price, especially on Amazon.

Book Review: From Fatigued to Fantastic
Summary: 5 Stars

If I have learned nothing else from my experiences with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, I have come to understand the need to educate myself about my health issues. Often health care professionals simply don't have the knowledge of how to help my symptoms. Unless they specialize in these conditions, they simply can't keep up with the bulk of current research. Therefore, the onus is on me, as someone dedicated to my good health, to be part of the solution.

For those individuals wanting to educate themselves on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, From Fatigued to Fantastic is a very good resource. It begins with those fundamental questions that we all ask. What are these conditions? What causes them? Why did I get them?

The author then takes the reader deeper into his or her own concerns. Each section lays out particular symptoms, the root of these problems, and what can be done to alleviate these specific issues. I really like that the author sets out a variety of different alternatives. Some involve diet and exercise modification while others involve herbal supplements and/or prescription medication.
