Book Review: Bad. Very Bad

I'm a stay at home mom, and the idea of ditching my frumpy mom gear for something foxy was very appealing. I know how to make myself look nice already, I just don't know how to do it quickly which is why I bought this book.
The problem is the title is very misleading. Frumpy to Foxy in 15 minutes flat... provided that you've had a manicure, and pedicure, have already showered and shaved, bleach, plucked, exfoliated, moisturized and all that other fun stuff. If I had time to do all that constantly I wouldn't be frumpy in the first place.
I also found the tone to be very preachy, almost like a 1950's beauty magazine. They had a section on how to be foxy while lounging around the house. I'm not going to unwind in a negligee. The whole point of unwinding is to unwind, not be worried about whether or not you're looking foxy.
The book also seemed to be forced "hip" like how my parents tried to talk to me when I was a teenager. If that wasn't annoying enough (and believe me it is annoying) the words "frumpy" and/or "foxy" appear in almost every sentence.
There was not a useful tip in the whole book and some of the advice was just down right bad. You could get more beauty advice from picking just about any woman's magazine at the grocery store than you can from this book.
