Book Reviews of Galaxy in Flames (Warhammer 40,000 Novels: Horus Heresy)Book Review: Left me feeling withdrawal symptoms Summary: 5 Stars
This is what all final chapters in a trilogy should be.The first three Horus Heresy novels are the only thus far that had one single plot line using the same characters continuously and it is by far the best because of it.The ending is perfect and I think black library is still struggling to match these three. The 10 novels that have followed these have all been back story for the other legions besides the Luna Wolves, but they really don't compare. But this book is so damn good I can't blame them. Still waiting for more.
Book Review: Galaxy in Flames is great ! Summary: 5 Stars
I was eagerly anticipating this book after reading the first two Horus Heresy books. Ben Counter did an excelent job. I loved this book. It is the best of the Horus Heresy trilogy. The action was nonstop. I could not put the book down. He did a nice job of tying up all of the loose ends of the trilogy. I am now definately a big fan of Ben Counter. Superb work. He did a great job of bringing the space marines and the warhammer 40k universy to life. I am looking forward to the next book in the Horus Heresy line.
Book Review: Good stuff Summary: 4 Stars
Ben Counter makes a solid and well written contribution to the Horus Heresy Series in this fascinating book. The series itself is compelling because it deals with such vital issues in the 40K universe, so I am looking forward to seeing who will write the next volumes. Galaxy in Flames is a fine read, although I have a preference for the slighly more epic tone of Abnett's work. This one is certainly an improvement on McNeil. Keeping my fingers crossed for another one by Abnett or one by Goto.
Book Review: Fantastic Finish Summary: 5 Stars
This was a fantastic ending to a great trilogy. What makes it extremely appealing as a reader is that three different authors were able to make such a great story that flowed very well. The action is non stop and the story line is intriguing. The only gripe that I have with the book is I wish Counter had spent more time talking about Garviel Loken, seeing as he was such a focal point in the first two books. Otherwise, a fun read.
Book Review: Great story....!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the book that sets the tone for the rest of the novels.....this is the the moment brother turns against brother...great....
I can't wait for Istvaan V and the battle between the Iron Hands, Salamanders, and Raven Guard against the traitorus legions of Horus...this is the perfect starting point for anyone looking into reading more about the Warhammer 40k universe.
