This is the best book on the subject I have ever read, and I have read a host of them. The author has so much wisdom and experience. I recomend this book to everybody, even those who don't have an alcoholic to deal with. She really helped me to change my life, and then other lives were changed as well.

In the process she maintains professionalism without sacrificing warmth or human sympathy. Forty-one chapters are filled with practical suggestions for coping including being gentle with yourself; don't pour out the booze; use tough love.
