Book Review: great cookbook with one exception

Great recipes but too many photos of Giada and her beauty. She really likes to put alot of pictures of herself in her cookbooks and could use the space for what people really want to see and that is the meals that they bought the cookbook for. She is so in-love with her looks that it is overwhelming to look through the book. Ease up on yourself Giada, you too will get old and wrinkled up so get humble!!!Book Review: Everyday Italian

I have made several of the receipts in this book. My husband and I have loved every single receipt. All receipts are really easy to understand, the directions are simple. Giada has proven again that she is a great chef and cookbook author. The format is a great change from the usual organization for cookbooks. She obviously understands her fans and has thought about how they eat, and how they should eat. I like all of the introductions, and she includes recipes that are both simple and refined. I found this cookbook just okay. It had recipes in it that are pretty common Italian family fare - nothing unusual or fancy - Not really representative of Giada's normal style and flare. I bought this for a gift for someone with a family. I would not have bought this particular cookbook if I knew what was in it ahead of time. I would have picked a different Giada cookbook.Book Review: So far....so yummy!!

I treated myself to this book for my birthday last month. So far, I have tried 5 of Giada's recipes and each one was a success!! I am excited to try more (and my husband is excited to eat them). Each recipe is bursting with flavor. I love to present the finished meal to my family because it looks like something you'd get at a nice Italian restaurant. Giada, you are awesome!!
