Book Reviews of Giada's Kitchen: New Italian FavoritesBook Review: Underseasoned and underwhelmed. Summary: 2 Stars
I do not recommend this book. I have created 5-7 of the dishes in the book and they all come out the same: bland, tasteless, and uninspired. I wish the dishes were more complex in their flavors and textures. Many of the dishes seem like they have the right basis for a good dish, but then lack in terms of seasoning. A cookbook and recipe should contain everything that you need to create a dish--the reader/cook should not have to guess which spices would make a dish taste better. I find this book nothing more than a collection of stories about how she serves these dishes to her family and how they love each dish. If the latter is true than her family (and the Food Network) is lying to her about the quality of her food and recipes.
Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a big fan of Giada and this is actually my first book from her. I love this book. I live in CA but I am originally from France. It has been so long since I am in the US eating crap (sorry for using this word but this the truth, nobody pushed me to do it anyway!)... I have been watching her show and decided to give it a try, it is a success! Thank you Giada. First, she pushes me to cook and secondly, I feel like I am eating healthy again, like my mom used to cook and teach me how to cook healthy meals. Her book is easy to understand, and most of her recipes are easy to make. Everybody can give it a try... this is a great buy! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat like Europeans people do it, good for you and yummy!
Book Review: Queen of italian food Summary: 5 Stars
When it comes to Giada di Laurentiis all I can think is the most delicious
italian food ever, but made the easy way.
Her dishes are easy to make, full of taste and colour, but specially 100% italian.
You don't need to go to Italy to taste its great food, just open this book and try any of her recipes. Some of them are tradditional, and others are what I consider nuveau italian cuisine. A journey into a world of flavors and sensations!
Besides this, you will find wonderful pictures of her. Ok, I agree, this is a cook book, but whith someone as gorgeous as Giada, who wouldn't like to see some pictures of her as well?

Book Review: Lovely cookbook by a lovely lady Summary: 4 Stars
I've always liked Giada De Laurentis. She's personable and charming on television, and she does a good job demonstrating the wonderful dishes she prepares. I'd love to be one of the lucky friends who dine with her, enjoying her food and her company.
In her new volume, Giada offers some of her favorite creations, including variations on old favorites. There's even a chapter dedicated to the little ones so that children can be creative in the kitchen.
The production values of the book are top-notch, and the photography is stunning. Giada is a very beautiful woman, and her low-cut tops are quite distracting (must be in her contract).
Book Review: Mouthwatering Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this as a gift, but I had to look through every page of this book twice before I gave it away!
The photos are lovely, and most of the directions seem simple enough to produce such mouthwatering recipes. I do wish there was a photo for every dish, but most include a delectable photo.
Speaking for vegetarians, there are many non-meat dishes, (take note, this is not vegan) making this a cook book worth getting.
*Note to cook book authors: Include photos with every recipe! Your book will be extremely appetizing!
