I've seen bigger books on making gingerbread houses, I've seen fancier books, but this is the all-time best book yet on the subject. It's simple, clear and loaded with creative ideas. The patterns and photos are especailly helpful, and the projects are charming.When I decided to make a gingerbread house, I looked at every book on the shelf. I needed all the help I could get! I bought this book after a lot of research for the perfect gingerbread house book. My husband and I wanted to make a gingerbread house for the first time ever. This book was perfect. The gingerbread came out perfect and was really easy to make. And the royal icing worked like cement. Is was great.Book Review: Good book for serious house builders.

This is a good book for adult beginners or experienced gingerbread house builders. The last half of the book is samples and explanations for all the extra details that make the houses special. Mailboxes, snowmen, fences, etc. Lot of fun, but a little advanced for young kids just starting out.Book Review: Gingerbread Houses

This was a used book, but it was in absolutely excellent shape. It arrived promptly. It is a very good, basic guide to making gingerbread houses, from the recipe right through construction and decorating. A good "starter" book for making gingerbread houses.
