Book Review: A Classic To be Thought Over and Discussed

I really like this book. It's a quick read for antsy kids and the lessons can be many. I like to have my kids point to what we just read and I like them to insert themselves into the person of the boy and the person of the tree and talk about what they would do differently. These days, kids are so indoctrinated in the public school systems about living green and the environment, I can't get my kids to admit that they'd even CONSIDER chopping down a tree, but we make due.
The lesson about give and take is a good one. The lesson about not tearing down something you love is also a good one. The lesson about unconditional love is a great one and usually the one we end with as we talk about the love of Jesus before we say prayers and go to sleep.
Parents have all the power with this one. The message can be whatever what you want it to be. It's HIGHLY likely that if you don't read this to your kids, someone else will and you wanna make sure they get your view along with someone else's so they can make an informed decision.
For those of you who just INSIST on being offended: Get a life!!!
