Book Reviews of Go, Dog. Go! (Beginner Books)Book Review: The first book I read Summary: 5 Stars
I love this book because this was the first book I ever learned how to read.I read this every night over and over to my dad until I could read it all by myself.I liked this book because it was easy to read and I liked the pictures and how you could almost look at the pictures and know what the words was going to say just by looking at it.The book was about dogs in cars going place around the town. The book tells you where all they go.It is really good book!
Book Review: Love this book! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter isn't quite three yet and this has become her favorite bedtime reading book. It's really great about teaching simple things: up and down, in and out, and over and under. The illustrations are simple, yet undertandable to a 3 year old, that I barely have to read it to her now-- I just ask her about the picture and she descibes it herself. She is gaining confidence thinking she can read now because of this book. I am looking for more like it.
Book Review: Easy Reader For Dog Lovers Summary: 5 Stars
A Seuss-style easy reader just made for dog lovers of all ages. A classic in every sense and a wonderful book to read to little ones just emerging into reading on their own. The colorful illustrations keep your child's attention, along with the dog action! My kids love this book and I recommend it. For the same ages, another colorful easy reader is Ladybug Baby Bug, by Janice and Mark Perkins. I really think you'll enjoy both in your home collection.
Book Review: Basic Language Vocabulary/Structures for the Beginner Reader Summary: 4 Stars
"Go, Dog. Go!" presents a simple, although somewhat disjointed, story that slowly, gradually builds toward "a big dog party" at the end. The book is filled with basic, fundamental adjectives (big, little), colors (black, white, blue, red, green, yellow), numbers (one, two, three), prepositions (in, out, on, up, down, over, under, around, to), verbs (go, stop), and nouns (night, day). It is a delightful 61-page book for the beginner/elementary reader.
Book Review: This is the real magic of literature... Summary: 5 Stars
When I was four years old I proudly read this book aloud to my parents as proof that I could read. Six years later, when my sister was born, I gave it to her. I cannot even think of this book without getting misty eyed, and I hope that others have had similar experiences, if not with this book, then with another. This is the real magic of literature, and I will proudly define "Go, Dog, Go" as literature until my last breath.
