Book Review: Nice For a Little Bit of Everything Summary: 4 Stars
God Gave Us Christmas addresses the question, "Is God more important than Santa?". Little Cub and Mama set out on an adventure to see how God gave us Christmas. They talk about Jesus coming to earth as a baby, the all mighty power of God, and how much He loves each one of us. Mama explains how Santa is a reminder of many good things but how Jesus is the best present of all and that GOD gave us Christmas. Our family isn't anti-Santa, so for us this is a good book that touches on a number of topics that your family can expound upon depending on the age of your child.
Book Review: What my kids needed! Summary: 5 Stars
I've wanted so very much to impress upon my boys the ultimate story of Christmas-that it isn't all about Santa and presents (although those ARE fun aspects!!) but that it is about Jesus. In God Gave Us Christmas, Little Cub's mom takes her on a journey looking for God, and they find him exactly where I find Him; in His glorious nature. There is evidence of God's love for us everywhere if you just look around! Santa absolutely symbolizes generosity, but the greatest gift of all is Jesus. The story is very easy to understand, and Jack especially enjoys it-asks for it every night!
Book Review: Makes me wish my kids were still little! Summary: 5 Stars
God Gave Us Christmas begins with Little Cub asking if Santa invented Christmas. When Mama Bear explains that God did, Little Cub wants to go find God and see how He did it. So he and Mama Bear leave the little ones at home with Papa and set off. As they see evidence of God at work all around them, Little Cub learns about God's love and that Jesus is the best present of all, sent for him! Beautiful pictures and sweet conversations combine to make this a heartwarming book. It makes me wish I still had a little one in footed pajamas to curl up with next to the Christmas tree!
Book Review: God and Christmas Summary: 5 Stars
This is such a sweet book for any age. We got this for our daughter two years ago, and she still loves reading it. It's about a little polar bear cub who wants to know who invented Christmas, so the Mama bear takes him on a little expedition to see the world, and talks to him about God's creations. Very nicely illustrated, this book will be around for years to come. This is a great book for a Christian's traditional Christmas, and talking about the true meaning of Christmas. Very sweet story, and recommended by our family. I hope your children love it like ours do.
