Book Review: The best deck I've ever had!

I've had many many tarot decks in my time, but none as beautiful as the Golden Tarot. The artwork is a collage of medieval and Renaissance art that makes my heart beat faster! Every little detail is carefully added to help the reader understand the symbolism each card. Thus, I find it an excellent deck to read from and my customers are very pleased with their readings! The tarot cards are in a sturdy little box with a lift off lid, so easily accessible. The guide not only gives you detailed information on the meanings of the cards, but also supplies information on what art work was used for each card. I highly recommend this deck for those of you who love the artwork of this time period and want a hands on deck that "speaks" to you!Book Review: Beatiful Renaissance Tarot Cards

I really love the look of these cards. I am not really a collector of Tarot cards but I have set that I use regularly by Hanson-Roberts, I am usually not drawn to other cards but these are quite beautiful, and the collage Kate Black has used to create each card in flawless and captivating. I am impressed by the images she chose. They are rich in color and detail and come in a nice sturdy box to store them in. The edges are gilded in gold and are beautiful renaissance paintings depicting the traditional Rider-Waite symbolism. My only complaint is they are a little large for my hands as they bigger measuring 3" X 5" then the standard 2 1/2" X 3" playing card size. I'm fussy about tarot decks. Having painted my own in the 70s, I've used it excusively ever since (Cilla Conway's The Intuitive Tarot), and although I've seen many others that promise much, at the beginning, they all have disappointed me after a closer look, and I had never managed to find another deck I could use. But this week I was shown Kat Black's Golden Tarot and I realised that it was exactly what I was looking for. It stays close to the Rider Waite interpretations, though with extra richness, so not only can I use it at medieval festivals, I can research all the paintings as Black details every source material she's used.Book Review: My favorite

This is my favorite deck. I use it for all of my most serious readings, and love it so much that I only use it with people I absolutely know and trust and adore. If I hardly know you, there's no way I'm letting you touch this deck and possibly get icky vibes all over it.
If you are new to tarot, and don't yet know the meanings of all the cards-get another tarot book to go with this. The book included does have definitions for each card, but they are all the deck designers interpretations-hers are a bit wonky. We all expand and change what the cards personally mean to us after a while, so it's good to learn from a few different sources-but hers were really different, and I got nothing from her viewpoint.

I bought a set and had to order another since my daughter "borrowed" the deck and well, you all know what that means so I went ahead and ordered a second set today in fact.
I agree with all other 5 star reviews. This is a beautifully developed deck that is almost too pretty to use as Tarot.
Previous comments about them being a bit too thick--not thick but a little hard to shuffle like you would regular cards but I find that to be more of a personal preference rather than a real product feature because, although you won't be able to shuffle them like the dealers in casinos, all you need to to is use a less "bending" method or shuffling which is really a non issue.
