Having visited Naples many times over the years, it is a very realistic view of the city and surrounding areas and the crimes.I can well understand why he is under police protection...he names names and dates as well as the various methods the different clans operate under. This book i found fair. it does give some inside information about the mob in naples. however the wrtiting style isn't great. it did not drag me along wanting to finish this book yesterday! maybe it got lost in translation but i can not give it more than 3 stars which is already a lot.Book Review: Should be titled Saviano's Legal Deposition

If you live here in Naples, you can imagine all the place names he mentions. But a very dull read.
The Conclusion was imbedded in the last chapter "land of fires" which he could have written so much more about.
Felt as if I were reading a legal deposition.

as an ardent lover of this country I wonder what's the reason for such anachronistic behavior? Is it, that Italy never really got accustomed to democracy?
