Book Reviews of Goodnight Bush: A Parody

Book Review: Book of Indoctrination!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

This is not a children's book! This is nothing but propaganda! Good thing I decided to put my kids in Private School after years of homeschooling...This is what exactly going on in our public schools, they don't educate our children instead they're indoctrinate them of their RADICAL AGENDAS!...I don't wanna live in a MARXIST AMERICA! and this kind of books will do it...

Book Review: laugh out loud
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful detail-filled parody of the children's book "Goodnight Moon". It has all the charm of the original, twisted into the bizarre world of Bush and Cheney. It is darkly humerous. I find that my friends who do not have children don't get it, as they have not read"Goodnight Moon" so I bought a copy for them to read before I hand them "Goodnight Bush".

Book Review: nice idea, but not very funny
Summary: 3 Stars

I got this book for my husband who is not a big fan of Mr. Bush. It seemed like a nice idea because our little kids are really into "Goodnight moon". Well, the book turned out to be not very funny. It lacks sarcasm, just sates states that we don't like Bush, and then repeats over and over how we do not like Bush. Nice idea though... could be much funnier.

Book Review: offensive
Summary: 1 Stars

Having read Goodnight Moon and dozens of Margaret Wise Brown's wonderfully gentle stories to my kids, I find it offense that the 'authors' of this junk book would use her classic as yet another way of disrespecting the president of our country. She must be rolling over in her grave. I gave it one star because I had to. -5 would be more like it.

Book Review: Excellent teaching tool!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son loved this book as a baby, now 13 years later, we are reading it with a new perspective. When he was a baby, I used this book as a teaching tool, and now this parody teaches the unfortunate politics and policies of the Bush administration. The pictures are especially informative and loaded with meaning.
