This easy to read book provides comprehendable content. It provides detailed, specific, and researched information about the process and practice of group counseling therapy for all life stages. The authors are experienced in the field. Included in this version is a multicultural component which makes it relevant to addressing the needs of our culturally growing global community. The Coreys have written other books related to counseling and their reader/friendly style is consistant. I highly recommend this book and any of the Corey's work.
Summary of Groups: Process and Practice
This book is intended for graduate and undergraduate students majoring in counseling, social work, counseling psychology, and human services who are taking courses in group work. (According to a recent e-survey of 102 faculty members teaching this course, the split between undergraduate and graduate courses is 46% undergraduate, 51% graduate, and 1% Ph.D.) It is designed as a primary textbook and is comprehensive in scope. It is also a practical manual for practitioners involved in leading groups.
