Book Review: solid affirmation of never-ending parent's love

Little Nutbrown Hare is searching for words to tell his parent how much he loves him:
"This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare, stretching out his arms as wide as they could go.
Big Nutbrown Hare "one-ups" the baby:
Big Nutbrown Hare had even longer arms. "But I love you this much," he said.
The "I love you game" goes on and on, until the little bunny gets sleepy of jumping around. But before dozing off, he finally comes up with the dearest line for his dad: "I love you right up to the moon."
Big Nutbrown Hare settles his baby into the bed of leaves, and, after the bunny is asleep, whispers:
"I love you right up to the moon - and back."
The artwork adds a perfect touch of calmness, employing pen-and-wash method of illustrations done in earthy tones. It's very suitable for the soothing tale before sleep.
"Guess How Much I Love You" is the sweetest book about parent and child openly expressing their affection to each other. It's not a book about being competitive - it's rather about solid affirmation of never-ending parent's love. "Guess how much I love you," says Little Nutbrown Hare. Little Nutbrown Hare shows his daddy how much he loves him: as wide as he can reach and as far as he can hop. But Big Nutbrown Hare, who can reach farther and hop higher, loves him back just as much. Well then Little Nutbrown Hare loves him right up to the moon, but that's just halfway to Big Nutbrown Hare's love for him.All children want reassurance that their parents' love runs wide and deep. In Guess How Much I Love You, a young rabbit named Little Nutbrown Hare thinks he's found a way to measure the boundaries of love. In a heartwarming twist on the "I-can-do-anything-you-can-do-better" theme, Little Nutbrown Hare goes through a series of declarations regarding the breadth of his love for Big Nutbrown Hare.
